The Chopra Center offers a wide variety of programs, workshops and courses and brings a fresh approach to the mind body spirit connection. Now the Chopra Center for Wellbeing has endorsed a third party product for the first time ever. The product and the company producing it are both known as Zrii. Zrii juice is mainly made up of the amalaki fruit known and used for thousands of years in ayurveda. There are several things that need to be considered.<br/><br/>First and most obvious is you don&#8217;t want to plant on the shady side of the house as roses need lots of direct sunlight. After you find a sun lit place the next thing you want to check is the soil.<br/><br/>Is the soil healthy and nutritious for your roses? Roses have big appetites and are big eaters and need nutritious soil to feed on. But they are also fussy eaters and they don&#8217;t like soil that is sandy or too clay-like either. So how do you figure this out?<br/><br/>Take some soil and squeeze it into a clump. If it stubbornly holds it&#8217;s form without crumpling it is too much clay. If it won&#8217;t hold it&#8217;s form or crumbles too easy it is too sandy. The soil should hold it&#8217;s form but not stubbornly so if you poke at it it should crumble. The soil should not be too acidic or have a lot of chalk or limestone.<br/><br/>It&#8217;s funny but rose plants are territorial and don&#8217;t like mixing with other plants yet they don&#8217;t mind being close to other roses plants. You know how they say birds of a feather flock together (like wise for fish and other animals) well it&#8217;s the same with roses. They like to flock with other roses. Hard to believe but true. So you don&#8217;t put roses near trees or other big plants. Besides the roots of the bigger plants can extend into the rose plants roots system and take the water and nutrition needed by the rose. If you dig a hole for your rose plant and hit some roots consider planting elsewhere. Climbing roses aren&#8217;t so picky about being near other plants. You can even get a climbing rose to wrap itself around a big tree. Probably to the disgust of all the other roses (that sentence was just a joke couldn&#8217;t resist).<br/><br/>Now that you have the location you need to dig a hole that is a bigger then the size of pot your plant is in. The depth of the hole depends on the climate and it would be a good idea to talk to other rose growers in the area as to the best depth. But with colder areas you need to plant a little deeper.<br/><br/>It&#8217;s an excellent idea to put some compost in the bottom of the hole as it will make the soil more nutritious for your roses. Also sprinkle some bone meal into the hole it is slow acting and is a source of phosphorus which is good for the rose root system and encourages root growth. Spread out the roots and dump in some soil making sure it gets to the bottom and gets around the roots. Don&#8217;t pack it down yet first water the roots while it is still lose. Add the rest of the soil and now you can pack it down. You can water again after packing.<br/><br/>And now enjoy the most beautiful of all flowers. A rose is a breath taking gift to give to someone. Your rose plants will beautify your garden and your home.</p>

But, since it is a necessary part of life, regardless of your metabolic make up, it would really be convenient to know what to substitute when cooking or preparing foods that will make them more wholesome with fewer calories, less sugar and more fiber. Diet is not only defined as that &#8220;thing&#8221; that you must endure in order to lose weight, but as your daily intake of foods, which if done in moderation and with a few simple substitutions can make either your maintenance of, or your achievement of your weight loss goals a reality.<br/><br/>The goal here is to lower your fat, sugar and salt intake while also lowering your calories and increasing your fiber, without sacrificing taste, which so many diet foods lack.<br/><br/>The following ingredients or foods are things you can either consume in place of or utilize in recipes as a substitution for the &#8220;fatter&#8221; alternative: <br /> All-purpose flour-Whole-wheat flour. In baked goods you can substitute half of the flour with whole-wheat flour. You might want to use whole-wheat pastry flour in cakes and muffins as it is less dense and will produce a &#8216;lighter&#8217; product. Bacon-Canadian Bacon, Turkey Bacon, Smoked Turkey or lean Proscuitto Butter, Shortening or Oil-Use Applesauce or Prune Puree for half of the butter, shortening or oil that is called for in a recipe. Oil is not an adequate substitution for butter or shortening though. If using it to prevent sticking, use a cooking spray and/or a non-stick pan instead Creamed Soups-Fat-Free Milk-Based Soups, Mashed Potato Flakes, Pureed Carrots, Potatoes or Tofu. Ground Beef-Ground Chicken, Ground Turkey or Extra Lean or Lean Ground Beef. Main Ingredient Meat-Three times as many vegetables as what meat is called for can be used on pizzas or in casseroles, stews and soups. Margarine in Baked Goods-Butter Spreads or Shortenings that are Trans Fat-Free and formulated especially for baking or you can also experiment with the same substitutions used for Butter above.  Oil-Based Marinades-Wine, Fruit Juice, Balsamic Vinegar or Fat-Free Broth.  Garlic, Celery or Onion Salts-Garlic Powder, Celery Seed, Onion Powder or Finely Chopped Garlic, Celery or Onions. Soy Sauce-Hot Mustard Sauce, Low-Sodium Soy Sauce or Sweet-and-Sour Sauce. <br/><br/>Further options are to always opt for the low-sodium or reduced sodium versions of your favorites and stop cooking with additional salt, especially if it is an &#8220;option&#8221; in a recipe. The taste difference is negligible when compared to the health benefits. Sea salt is also an option as it has less sodium, but you need the iodine in salt to some degree in your diet. You can use sea salt in a grinder on your table and iodized sea salt in your cooking if you wish. You can also easily cut calories and fat by using low-fat, reduced-fat or fat-free dairy products and whole-wheat to replace plain old white bread. Rice is also a preferred option to pasta and can fill out or extend a recipe, but use wild rice, brown rice, bulgur rice or pearl barley instead.<br/><br/>Now, isn&#8217;t that easy?
